Shoot 'em Up Christmas!
If you have ever watched "A Christmas Story," the catch phrase of that classic movie may be appropriate here: "You're gonna shoot your eye out!"
That's right, my dad got my sister and I single-action six shooters for Christmas! 45 caliber something or others. . .whatever that means. Either way, they are very shiny. I don't shoot, but my sister does. I keep telling my dad I need bullets, but he says no bullets until I learn how to shoot. Nothing says a good ole' fashion American holiday like getting guns for Christmas! Thanks, Dad, they are soooo cool!
But seriously, Kodii and I are going to try our hand at Mounted Shooting. It is a great American pastime where you ride horseback through a course of targets and shoot 'em up! Yeehaw! It is a speed event so you are scored on how many targets you hit and how fast your horse runs. Oh, and of course, you have to dress in period-appropriate wild west clothing. They won't let you compete unless you look the part! I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can get started!
